we began our third novel, Charlotte’s Web and we have had a great time learning new vocabulary words and meeting these new characters. In Language Arts we continued to work on verbs in Grammar. We also explored sentence fluency and used a fun PowerPoint and graphic organizers to develop our own sentences. In Math we began our chapter on measurement. We are focusing on standard and non standard units and learning new terms such as millimeter and kilometer. Keep practicing those multiplication facts! I am excited to announce we have had our first badges awarded and the students are thrilled. I am so proud of them! Also, we began math club lunches Monday and Thursday for extra practice and badge quizzes. It was so much fun! In Social Studies we continued with chapter 6 on Government. We are discovering the important parts of a state government and the services and roles the leaders provide to us.
